Light question

My light is making a high pitched buzz. Is this fixable somehow? Hitting it didnt work  :wink:

Try replacing the starter.  A two pack costs a couple of bucks at HD

It's likely that the buzz is being caused by ballast age.  Can you determine WHERE the buzz is coming from?  If it is the ballast, the only cure will be replacement.

I have the same issue. I also asked this question (not sure if it was here or on another forum). I tried replacing the starter and that was a no go. I guess I'll have to replace the ballast itself.  :?

Bad starters shouldn't cause buzz; they cause lack-of-starting generally (in theory, a starter shouldn't come into play once the light is lit).

Buzz is definetly caused by old, aged ballasts.
