I had heard that the Shaving Brush Plant, or (Penicillus sp.) is quite beneficial in a saltwater aquarium, particularly for lowering nitrates and phosphates, but i am not sure if they are compatible with coral, such as button polyps, green mushrooms, and cabbage leathers. and also if my t-5 lighting, and fluval (carbon), and protein skimmer will be suffice for the plant lighting and filtration. any help? Thx

This is when a Fuge comes in handy :)

I have a 30gallon fuge setup to my system mostly with Chaeto and Caulurpa in it.  I wanted to get some of the plant you are referring to, but haven't yet..

Same here.  It seems innocuous.
My yellow tank liked to eat it and that seem to keep it appropriately pruned (he has died from an unrelated disaster).  It's nice to have something for a fish to feed on without having to add extra nutrients to the system.
