This is the 4 th flower my crinum has put out in 4 weeks, this one is the second within a few days, Zima saw the first one on Wed. evening

Laura

Fantastic - are they producing seed heads?
700 gal pond - Rosy reds

Beautiful!

Is the flower under water or above, almost looks like you can see pollen,
so I'm assuming it's underwater?

Laura - yes it is
sas -it`s above water, i had to guide it out the back of the tank since it was pushing against the light fixture & the heat would damage it,i will try & force it back under water.

Don't force the flower or the seed heads back into the water or the flower stack will rotten away. The seed needs to stay above the water line to mature. Either cut the flower stacks off, or you will risking the plant goes into dormant period after used up it's stored energy. They just behave like orchid.  ;)

Neat I'm glad you're not going to submerge it.
So another question :), does it smell nice or is it like some orchids that just look
fantastic and don't have an aroma?

Sas the flower is short lived a few days the most, there is no obvious fragrance that i can smell, maybe "fishy"  :)

sas
