I do NOT recommend that. My experience with yeast based generators is to keep it as simple as possible or else you can have a huge disaster/mess to clean up.

I'm planning to use a simple 2L bottle and a smaller bottle (for bubble counter and gas seperation) combined with a couple of check valves.

I just though it was a clever idea but personally I'd probably go with a pressurized system before doing that. I've made gallons and gallons of wine in the past and experienced my fair share of messes. A memorable one was a batch of coffee wine I was making (delicious btw) and coming home to a counter full of sticky foamy coffee smelling goo
