agar agar gelatin

Hi I wanted to know if any one has used agar agar gelatin to make gel food and i wanted to know if it is a safe product to use for fish?

I use knox gelatin now and heard that agar agar is better.

I used it to make some sinking veggie food - it worked great and froze well.

I used it to make beefheart based discus food by following the instructions here

"Set the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit (warm setting). Line cookie sheets with wax paper. This makes it go much easier later on. Smooth the food onto the wax paper lined cookie sheets around 1/2 inch thick. You will use several pans. Place the sheet in the oven for 20 minutes."

This had been a successful batch of food.
