I am moving my tank in a few months and was wondering it I could house my fish in a big rubber maid container while I move and drain my tank?

Thanks

How long do you figure the whole operation will take? You'll be fine for a few hours as long as you maintain water temperature and add a bit of aeration to the container.

I have had fish in a rubbermaid for well over a week.  Just make sure there is filtration setup for them.. thats all  and heaters if need be.

Also add some flow in there should be fine. Take existing water throw some rocks in there put heater. Good to go.

I have held, in a rubber maid container, my fish for two weeks with no problem. It was a bit crowded.
I did use my filter on the tub. The only problem was my sae jump out twice so I had to put a cover on the tub. And for two days I kept hearing the sae banging against the lid. I guessed he wasn't happy about being in the crowded tub.
