Do I need a de-chlorinator (like prime) if I am on a well?

I am on well water and my water does not have to be de-chlorinated. Does a product like prime offer other advantages and if so, how much value for money would I be getting in my situation?

I use well water on my shrimp tank and I don't dechlorinate it. I've been doing this for over a year now with no issues. I don't think there would be any benefit in using it.

Unless you add chlorine to your water, you don't need Prime.

On a well also, never used it for my water. I only have it for my Purigen recharging process. Prime helps with ammonia and nitrite spikes though if I'm not mistaken.

Prime also removes heavy metals from the water. It is 1 mil/10 gallons a 500 mil bottle costs less than $20 so it is a great insurance policy. We but insurance for our cars why not for your charges in your aquarium? A few cents to save potential losses is not bad if you think about it. Prime is an excellent product. Also during spring you have potential for lots of extra stuff in the water well or City from the run off.
