Cleaning white pebble base

What is the best way to clean pebbles?  They have quite a bit of algae on them.

I like to use this product,

trouble is it takes time to work.
I fill a bucket with this bleach diluted with water ( if things are really dirty I don't dilute at all)and leave it sit
at least over night. You'll probably have to stir the gravel up a few times to get a good result. As with any chemical rinse really well with fresh water.

JUST be very careful and use gloves, a peroxide burn hurts for ages.

If you look at the ingredients of this product it's actually a strong
peroxide solution which is very unstable and lasts only a short time
and doesn't hurt the environment. Another great point is you don't
get that sickening smell of javex.

If you want them white, bleach them. Obviously, don't do that in your tank, and rinse them well before returning them.

Would a pressure washer work?

Based on my experience bleach works the best, in most cases it only needs a couple of minutes and it all just peals off.

Thank you for the advice.  Wondering if it will be too much of a shock to clean all of the stones at one time? It's a 55 gallon fresh water tank..  I'm thinking it will be okay if I leave all of the water?
