Blinky kalk reactor tweaks?

This is going way back in the history of reefkeeping in Ottawa. Anyone on this list remember the locally made kalk reactors. They were made by somebody who I can't remember (I want to say Wayne???) and then Blinky on Aquaria Canada bought the business. Ring any bells?

I am going old school on my system and using kalk - I dug out my old kalk reactor and I'm remembering the things that drove me nuts about it way back. The stir input driven by the maxijet sits on one side rather than the centre which pushes all the kalk away from the output of the maxijet. Anyone tweaked their kalk reactor to improve it along the way? Ideas, opinions and random thoughts all welcome!
