Hey guys, just got a trio of super red halfmoon plakat,
2 females and 1 male.

i'm also looking to name them (if anyone has suggestions). :D

parents are from Thailand. i've been feeding them beef heart and blood worms, I'm also looking to breed them in the future but i'm giving them time to grow

here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYLP7sSaHwU

Hey,

Nice looking betta. I used to have a pair of them. I see in the video they are at the perfect age to start breeding. With Betta you have a limited time frame that are able to breed them. I see the male are already building bubble nest. So give the breeding a try now and good luck

thanks, I do have micro worms, vinegar eels  and bbs, i left them for 10 hours and I just realised that the female was under the nest, which I possibly think she was eating the eggs. the bubble nest got bigger but I cant manage to see if there is eggs in the bubbles...  I removed the female immediately when I saw that. ( i did not see the female and male do the ritual. theres a possibility that it didnt work ill post pictures. of bubble nest

:/ its a plastic bin so I cant really

Shawn84

Look underneath the cluster of bubble that is close to the edge. So you see the bubble clear or its an opal white color. If its an opal white color then you have egg in there. Also next time :)

thanks more updates to come...

All I have to do is sit back and wait until they hatch

Aud

First attempt fail, there was no eggs that hatched.

I took a good week to recondition my bettas, and chose to breed a different female.

the nest is bigger, ive seen the male embrace the female but no eggs was dropped.

here is a picture of the nest
