I've been doing some reading and I sometimes bump into things saying that mollys require some salt ? is this true? And by putting salt in my tank, wouldn't it kill other fish like my rams, tetras and gouramis? Just thought i'd throw this question out here.

I have heard that too.... how Mollies can live in saltwater (you mostly hear brackish though).

I don't think it would workout too well though with your Rams, tetras, and gouramis though.

If your mollies are fine in Freshwater then just leave them.

Mollies are Eurohaline fish, meening that they naturaly occur in waters that can change in salinity. Areas like upper river estuaries or streams leading into a salt marsh.

This is not from experience but from some articles I have read that yes mollies can be slowly acclimated to a marine environment. I have heard of different hobbiests that use mollies to cycle there "new" salt water tanks.
