I have a school of 30+ ember tetras and I wanted to give breeding them a shot. Has anyone successfully bred these, or can point me in the direction of some solid information?

It was on my to-do list at one point - one that has first-hand info and other discussions that i liked is this: http://forum.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/showthread.php?t=59186

Wow! I was thinking about trying to breed my ember tetras as well but could not find any information about it online. If you are successful, can you let us know your water parameters and how you did it?  I love these little fish.
:)

Where did you get yours? I've only ever seen them for sale at Critter Jungle.

Thanks!

I bought mine from critter jungle as well, it's the only store I really go too. I will let you know if I have any success, I'm still getting things together to try.

I also found another site that says ember tetras are in the top 5 easiest tetras to breed, so that's encouraging: http://www.tfhmagazine.com/details/articles/five-easy-tetras.htm

Thanks for the link. I am so glad they're not too hard to breed.

I found this one, which also gives some details about breeding them:
