Ive been searching for Altum Angelfish for so long and havent seen any yet. Anyone know why they arent popular and that LFS dont carry them?

I don't think the issue is that they aren't popular - they are. However, its almost always the case that as soon as its available, they are sold. At least thats the story in Toronto from what I hear. Here, we may not get them in as often. An issue with Wild Altums too is that they are really hard to acclimatize to local waters - apparently it can take up to a year ++ to ensure that you are in the clear. I think this is one of the reasons why they are so expensive even if you do eventually track 'em down. Beautiful fish no doubt!

I just got 3 really nice Altums from Dragon King Aquarium Centre(in Toronto).  It's a small store in Markham(4779 Steeles Ave East Unit B10, Toronto, Ont M1V 4S5).

The owner is a really nice guy(bit hard to talk to and understand), but he brings in juveniles and grows them out before selling them.

Hope this helps
