Get a piece of styrofoam that's an inch or so thick. Use a torch to burn it to make rock shapes in then spray it. Looks good to and is kinda cheap.

Looking good, much better with a back ground.
Is the left front open space or is there a ground cover coming along?

Thanks bettabreeder!

Charlie:the front left is Covered with inviSible ground cover grass lol. I'll post a pic in a couple hours when the lights come on. It'll make sense then.

wrm130

The grass, unfortunately, blends really well with the substrate.

charlie

Is that Echinodorus tenellus ?

wrm130

I believe it is tenellus. Or so I've been told. Neat plant but it blends and doesn't pop very well

charlie

It would if you had a black cap, like black fluorite, sand, eco complete.
Regards
P.S when it takes off, keep me in mind  :D

Def E. Tenellus! Maybe use another carpeting plant like HC or HM for a mixed carpet look? The green of either will def make the darker green/red of the tenellus pop. Liking the general look of the tank though!

Lol

2 reasons.

1. I hated my layout.
2. moving

I'm going to attempt to move a 40b with substrate and an inch of water.  Wish me luck  :-\

guck

I read all this thread. Interesting.  Let us know how the move turns out.
