So after a few hundred expletives, I put on a brave face and decided to take to the net for help.

I was moving my aquarium stand and foolishly overlooked my skimmer resting on a side table .....yup bang, on the floor she goes and cracks at the intake.....grrrrrrr

Is it fixable? And no i didn't take photos I was to livid at the time

Try the aquarium silicone they sell to seal tanks.  I have used it for similar.

Do not Use Silicone....it does not bond well to Acrylic and Plastic.
If the skimmer is acrylic you can use Weldon product.
Check this link: http://www.eplastics.com/Adhesives

But please do not put silicone on it ! Very big mistake.

2 Things to report;

Firstly, Weld-On 4 is magic in a can....seriously. Skimmer skimming away :-)  If anyone needs to use some feel free to contact me as I will never use as much as I received.

Secondly, Holy Herbie overflow! SILENCE!!!!!
