Information on Sailfin Mollies

I just purchased a pair of orange sailfin mollies there beautiful, but I understand they are very difficult to maitain. My female is doing well, but the male is worrying me abit, he's floating alot at the top of the water, his appetite isn't the best, I have been feeding fresh and frozen brine shrimp, and blood worm. I keep the PH around 7, temp 78.
If anyone can give me some advice I would really appreciate the help.

Mollies are susceptable to bloat and ich. I would consider keeping the tank slightly brackish at all times, if it posssible.

Unfortunately. my plants won't like the salt.
