A few days ago I noticed some tiny reddish jumping bugs on the above-water leaves of my limnobium and nymphaea lotus.  Could they be red spider mites?  Does anyone know how to get rid of them?

I don't know where the little buggers would have come from, since nothing new has been introduced into that tank for quite a long while now.

Hey Fry! Nice meeting you!!!

Did you figure out how to get rid of the little buggers?

They seem to like calm surface water, so try to bubbling it up. They don't like guppies ...  :)

AH-HA!  Perfect!  We'll put all the floating plants in with the guppies for a bit!  I removed all the floating lotus leaves, and rinsed the limnobia when I did the weekly water change, but they're back again.  I'm going to go move them now... thanks pegasus!
