were could one get a couple of blue Jack dempseys??
and any info on them?

i've seen Orange Pike Cichlids Xuige I or something..

they grow 8-10" and lose there orange color when older.. but hey they look neat..

any info on this species?

also is there a online SA/CA cichlid store?

there's some jack dempseys at SP merivale I beleive..I think they are still there

saltydog has some Jack's, not sure if they were the "blue" ones though. I bought some Jack's from him, I am very happy with them, those suckers are active

hows the coloration? i am going to purchase them from him aswell.. I trust him.. but i want to make sure i get 1m 1f lol.. i want them to breed.. so i was thinking of grabbing 4 from him and hope they pair..

I bought three from him and I lucked out, I have one female and two males. The female is lighter in colour and has (less or more spots) I can't recall.

One of the males appears to be pairing off with the female, or so it would appear.

They are great fish, and were well taken care of when I got them from Roger.

All Jack Dempsys are primarily blue with red on dorsal fin when mature. Juveniles are sort of brown with spots & stripes.
