I have 2 jewels left out of 3. One is a bright red and smaller, and the other is a blueish and bigger.
My question is, how can you sex this breed? These 2 have there own corner and tunnel that they stay in and gaurd ferociously, and are inseperable. Are they a breeding pair? Will they lay eggs?

Small red one = female, bigger one with blue metallic spots =male
At least thats what my pair are like. And yes chances are very good they will lay eggs.
Congrats ...they are stunning fish when they turn color.
