This is a pic of my tank with my original Coralife Lighs 10K, 60w, x8, taken Jan 29, 07.  Had just bought the set-up used.

Upgraded my lighting to Coralife 48" AquaLight Pro 2x 150W MH, 2x 96w Actinics, 4x 1w LED; which I also purchased used.  This pic taken today.

What is most interesting about this transformation, is that you are using roughly the same amount of electricity for very different appearances. Whereas the first picture looks very bright, it has a feel of a wash of light, whereas the second photograph clearly shows a more defined single point source, it must look lovely with the rippling too.

Given that the second light set appears to keep the reef darker, will you be able to grow corals in the same way as you would have with the t-5's?

huge difference i think, from the first picture it looked too bright on the top/middle but not so bright on the bottom, now it is far more crisp and has same consistent brightness everywhere, good investment IMO.

i would change the height and direction of atleast 2 of the 3 powerheads in your tank to maximize effectiveness.
