Fragging a monti-cap

My monti-cap is getting pretty big and there are five plates on it. I am trying to figure out the best way to cut a few off. I want to shape the main piece so it will continue to grow nice and get a few frags out of the plates I remove.

I have no idea what I am doing though 

Has anyone practiced fragging this type of coral? Can you give me any tips or pointers on removing sections without hurting the main piece? And how big the portions to be fragged need to be for good survival rate?
