Green Water VS Diatom Filter

Just thought I would show you guys what a diatom filter can do. I had read a whole bunch of things like you hadn't seen clear water until you've used a diatom filter, it turns out that it's true .

That is quite the demonstration, you just have to love a good diatom filter, they work really well.  And they do not affect the biological filter adversely either, all around good equipment to have on hand.

Wow, that's amazing.  How long did you have to run the diatom filter to produce those results?

It was run for 12hrs. the first day, then I turned it off to go to bed for fear that I might of installed one of the tubes wrong and water would spew all over the room. The next day I changed the powder and had it going for another 12 hrs and voila clear as crystal water. I'm still amazed at the results. Today I'm gonna run my other three tanks on the filter just to equalize their clearness.
