I have goldfish and Koi in my pond and some shubunkins indoors that they will over winter with.  I understand from what I have read that, esp come spring, I am likely to end up with little fry in my pond.  What I am wondering is with these three different (but not so different) fishies in the pond am I going to end up with some strange cross breeds?  My Koi are beautiful butterflies so if they want to...um...get busy... :-[...that is OK with me.  Not so sure what I would end up with 1/2 butterfly and 1/2 feeder goldfish... :D...

You will most likely have some cross breed, what is very common when you have different fish in your pond.

Yes, Koi and goldfish will cross-breed.

Shubunkins are actually goldfish, just calico colored commons/comets.
