aqueon water change system

I got one and just tried it out today and it didn't seem to create enough suction to get a flow started.  The water flow from our tap is not very strong, does it need to be to work propery?  I'm sure I have it hooked up properly...

Any ideas?

Check where the hose attaches to the thingy on the tap. It doesn't fit very securely and could be leaking air. I was filling and shut the water off at the tank, the ceiling needed to be wiped down anyway.

Thanks normc, the problem is fixed.  It was leaking air at the tap.
