I `m curious to know if some members would like to get together for breakfast & a chit chat maybe once a month on a weekend, this might serve as a bridge between meetings for the ones that suffer withdrawal symptoms  :), any ideas or suggestions welcome, please post your interest here.
Regards

If schedules and location worked out I would love to attend!

me me!  how's this Sunday morning?  are you making pancakes?   8)

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat you right.  Forget about the one's who don't.  Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.  If it changes your life, let it.  Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I can't go on Sundays, Saturday mornings work better for me.
But I would love to go any day except Tuesday, as sitting at home waiting for the end of November to get here, sucks!~
Like PFG says "I miss this place and all the people associated with it."

Yeah that would be a good idea. I'd be in once in a while if it worked with my schedule.

Rumor has it that Rideau Carleton Casino has a sweet deal on Sat. mornings , can anyone share their experiences there.  ;)

Brine

I like the idea. Personally Saturday mornings are better than Sunday mornings for me and I travel by bicycle (yes all year long) so I won't be cycling out to the Raceway in the winter. I am sure someone would offer a ride if that is where we decide to go. In fact, I think an OC Transpo bus might go there...I'd have to check.

Nerine

I love cooking breakfasts  ;D

But I'm game to go for breakfast! Depending where the breakfast will be held, I can offer a ride to people

What about Dunn's downtown?  Cheap and pretty good.

I was there once for dinner and was very unimpressed and disappointed, I dont know the breakfast there, but personally I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

breakfast sounds good, for satursdady or sunday.  that would be a good start for a weekend, else , i'' waste it, by sleeping till 2 in the afternoon.

count me in, but location has to be convience. (near OC transpo. route)

That would be nice will wait and see where and when  ;)

Looks like there is some interest , would you guy`s  name some places , so far we have Rideau Carleton, Dunn's.
It also so looks like Saturday is a better day for most. What would be a good time  ( remember this is breakfast :D)

Brine

One thing to keep in mind is that we will likely want to dawdle over our meal and there needs to be room to expand and contract as we go. When I go out for cheap bacon and eggs I go to "philly's and wings" at Bank and Lisgar. there are tables that would hold 5 or 6 adults and the breakfast is less than $5....also it is an all day, everyday breakfast.
That's my $5 worth  ;D

artw

I am downtown all day during the week so I will be avoiding here on the weekends.   Coras has pretty good breakfast but good luck actually getting a table. seems like everyone and their brother go there on the weekend

Dennys and Perkins show potential

charlie

Here are some places i`ve had breakfast with pretty good food , service & space.
Summerhays - Basline & Woodruffe
Chances are ( I think ?) - Baseline & Woodruffe
Southside Diner - former Rocking Johnny @ Heron gate mall
Broadways - Prince of Wales & Fisher
Rockin Johnny -Kanata
Any other suggestion`s , keep in mind if we go , it would have to be a place that can accommodate a fairly big group on a walk in

Unless you like it when your eggs and coffee are the same flavour and consistency, stay away from the Denny's!  They have lots of seating and mass quantities, but that's about it.
