Hey Guys,

If Im looking at a tank that is (84-96)x36x36, is 3/4in thick glass good enough? or is it over kill/not enough. From what I read, thickness has everything to do with height.

I know we have a lot of experts here, so please post your comments.

Thanks

Standard 3/4" glass will do fine, the proviso being that it is put together properly and that the base for the aquarium is rock solid, planar even and flat and above all, level.  It won't kill you to go with 1" glass, other than the extra weight, and the exponential rise in material costs.
