What to feed a Linckia laevigata

What have you guys been feeding your Linckia laevigata (blue starfish)? I heard they need to be fed separately? How do i know if mine has been eating?

if he is fat then you are ok but if he is on the thin side then you might put him in a bucket for an hour or two with mysis/brine 3-5 times a wk, thanks.
