Not Sure where to put this.

Purchased a used Hamilton 4' halide/flourescent combo canope about 3 months ago, and one of the halides is acting up. Sometimes it comes up sometimes it doesn't.  I switched the bulbs and its always the same side that is flacky.  I think my ballast is going, the risks of buying used. :(  Anyways, I check the web for a replacement and the only ones I found were about 169$ which is too much for me right now.

Does anyone know where i can get a cheaper one, or someone that can put one together at a reasonable price.

From my reseach found that it is a dual 175 watt ballast with one black 6 prong quick disconnect and one grounded power cord.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
/ger.

Might get better luck in the Classifieds section.  I hate when this type of thing happens, though.  :(

For a halide that is in a fixture, it will definitely be an electronic ballast (size and weight issues) and its going to be $$$.
