just looking for opinions on adequate sump size for a 120g salt water tank. I have a 33g tank here that I could use but is it big enough?

If space is not an issue the 150 gallon ponds from Ritchie's Feed 'n Seed are great.

The 'rule of thumb' for sumps is at least 1/3 the size of the display tank.  The 33 you have will at least work for giving you a place for equipement and a fuge, but its not the ideal size for your tank.  You should be looking for something around 40g.
