Hello!

I am almost finished setting up my new 20L tank. I left my original 12G nano at another house while away now its inhabitants will come back to a bigger tank. Here are some pictures from a messy start to a somewhat cleaner state. The tank is now filled with distilled water that was mixed with salt and is now just circulating. Special thanks to groupie02 for drilling the overflow holes.

I hope so too!

As for the 20G long comment . Its the stand thats misleading ;D . That stand is for a 46G bowfront :P. The 46G bowfront made me nervous full of water  :-\ because the floor was slightly uneven and that stand has a flat bottom (completely flat) so it is really hard to level b/c you need to get all the pressure points evenly... It is 99.9% level now and the 20L is perfect.

An idea popped up!

The lighting for this tank will be a previously retrofitted 96W PC Quad bulb. I will also add a smaller but similar retrofit 32W Dual Actinic fixture. With 128 watts of PC on the 20G long(key word! its shallow..12" if im not mistaken) would I be able to keep some LPS perhaps? Or maybe even low light SPS?

Is your sump and main tank running already?
Just wondering if you are getting any noise from that plumbing.

With the lighting thst you have you will most certainly be able to keep lps.

more like 20G

Im sorry for the confusion, it just abbreviated the 20G long into 20L. Thats what was stamped on it at big al's so I figured everyone referred to 20G long aquariums as a 20L. A 20 Liter would be ~5 gallons?  ::)

More pics tomorrow! Im bringin everyone back to the new tank!

The sump is not running yet. I plan on filling that tomorrow with the old aquarium water..

Noise-wise...I have two ballvalves for each of the overflows so I can fine-tune it....or...at least thats my theory  ::) . The return is a 500GPH pond pump but i have a small "feedback" loop so i can only send up the exact amount of water I want, the rest goes back to the front of the sump... this keeps the pump from going dry in case the overflows aren't fully open.

Tomorrow : trial-and-error ... I have to sleep with the resulting noise so it WILL be fine tuned.  ;D
