So I finally got around to hooking up the UV sterilizer last night. My tank looked great last night, the water was crystal clear.  Today the tank is cloudy. Really strange because I thought that if anything, the UV sterilizer would make the water even nicer looking. Any ideas? I'm EI dosing ferts but I know that there are other people on the board doing the same thing while running a UV sterilizer with no problems.

The only info on the web that I could find was talk of UV sterilizers oxidizing the iron when you dose trace elements with the UV sterilizer on. But I haven't dosed my trace elements since turning on the UV sterilizer last night.

I do not use mine all the time. It is an in tank type so I just use it when there is an issue. I was using it in my EI dosed tank but no cloudy issues... weird one.
