Hello I'm new hear! had a search and found out about the ( http://www.3reef.com/forums/i-made/nice-cheap-diy-overflow-29396.html ) seems like a very good idea! but my concerns are bubbles coming down !!

I have my tank drilled already and I'm getting millions of bubbles down my drain pipe! into my sump  :'(

So i was wondering what the best option i got to either change to my drilled tank to stop bubbles or build one of them guys in the link above? does that also suck bubbles down the drain pipe?????

Hope so one out there can help me  :o seems like a pretty good website!!! thanks Gary :D

Hi Gary and welcome. Sorry I can't offer any advice never ran and over flow or sump. You have sumbled along a great online community of fish folk for sure. Post a question in the saltwater general too I think more saltys read that thread. Is this a saltwater set-up? Oops...  :D If not post in General Freshwater a question but still couldn't help... LOL

We have monthly meetings where there is usually a presentation. There is a break with lots of chatting then we hold a mini auction. This month there is a speaker on fish reproduction both fresh & salt water. Here's a link to the location: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=J.A+Dulude+Arena+Ottawa+Ontario Hope to see you out some time.

Welcome to OVAS!

What is your flow rate of your return pump?
You can always just add filter socks to your overflow lines in your sump. They do need to be changes/cleaned every other day but they will also cant all of your detrius.

My return pump is 3000L (792.8 us G) i have a filter bag witch i think is the same as filter socks! i just need an overflow witch is the quitest!! as my tank is in my bed room  ;D and having millions ov bubbles is really noisy!
