Hey folks,

I have some float switches that I'm going to wire into my controller, and I'm looking some stranded 2 conductor wire, 22 or 24 AWG, so that I can extend the reach of the short leads that the switches have.

Is there a place in Ottawa that I could get a reasonably small length of wire, (i.e. not having to buy a 1000' spool).

I'd try good ole Home Depot. They have all kinds of wire sold by the meter. If all else fails, light guage speaker wire would work just fine. CTC, HD, The Source - almost anywhere would have it.

I've tried home depot.  The closest they have is speaker wire, which is close.  Just wondering if there is a craft/hobby/model shop that would have exactly what I'm looking for.

Then I would try The Source. They have tiny spools of different colours of exactly what you're looking for. Only reason I recommended the speaker wire is that it's essentially the same thing in a different coloured wrapper - at a much lower price. I use 20 or 22 ga speaker wire for almost all my low-voltage needs.
