Ahh! water change done after a very long 2 hrs draining and carrying water from the basement is a real pain in the ass. I finally realize why so many people plumb their tanks to the basement, that is exactly what I will be doing within the next month. I will have to rebuild a new stand to do this (hopefully sell the old one) I will post progress on the new build.

A new add on for my tank ordered a Tunze Nano Wavebox - 6206 can't wait to get this installed.

Good job on the stand and hood.  Need more close pic of the corals though.

3 more new SPS frangs now I just need that wave machine!! and place everything instead of it sitting on a nice white shelf!!

Vincenzo.

nice tank. very impressive. and yes it's quality of wood. for a side note i would not use 2x4 rather 2x3 maybe even 2x2 if people are worried about wood twisting.

got the wave box now to just put it in. need more time in a day!!!

Ah finally had the time to do a few mods to my setup. I decided with the addition of the wavebox  that the coast to coast overflow wasn't going to work, I cut it out and added 2- 2" elbows instead, the tank has never been cleaner. And the best addition the wavebox creating a nice 3/4" wave in the tank moving the corals and the stuff settled on the rock far better than the Korilla 3 and 4 were. I will post pictures soon.

I thought it was time now to add some new life to my tank, so I went shopping and came home with a Redtail Tarmarin Wrasse it sure adds life to the tank it doesn't stop eating it really didn't take it long to settle in  his new home

Finally got around to taking a full tank shot. Plan to do some major aquascaping in the next months, going to do a DIY custom rock wall to hide the wavebox. Also will be removing the Korillas and replacing it with a closed loop pump, should make a major change to the look of the tank IMO. Will post pictures of the build as it progresses.

Where did you purchase your lumber for your cabinet?  HD lumber seems to be a bit too wet and twisty for any quality work...

groupie02

nice setup. I'm curious to know why you decided to put your frags on a rack instead of placing them on your rock right away. I only use a frag rack when I make frags and wish to let them grow before giving them away.

The lumber I used is from Robert Bury unfortunately it is a wholesale only so you will have to have an account. I can help out if you need something.

I have decide to put them on a rack because I am going to be building a custom rock piece for this tank and don't want to have to break the pieces of the rock work once this is done. I will be doing the aquascaping then.

That would be a very good reason  ;)
