Tunze 6025 mod for more flow

Hi,

I just did this mod (the standard mod) http://www.sdmas.com/wiki/Tunze_6025_Mods .

I'd say the output of my pump is now 1.5x-2x more than what it was.  The flow is more directional (vs. dispersed) than before.  I didn't need any special tools other than some of those pliers that cut wires etc.  I just cut away, filed and sanded the tubes around the impeller and put them back in the tank.  It's a pretty good mod to do if you have 6025s but want more flow.

You can also cut every second rib from the front and rear section of the shroud, increases flow even more.

Good idea.  I'd like to keep mine looking 'stock' from the outside, but I didn't think of that.
