I did a 10 day blackout for all my plants, driftwood and rocks that were covered in the algae.
All the plants lived and are free of the algae(swords, crypts, java ferns), however all the rocks and driftwood are still covered in it.
The algae is now a red/purple (more red than purple) colour on the rocks and driftwood.
What is to be done next to get it off the decor?  Scrub?
Thanks,
Chris

That colour means the BBA is dead or dieing. Yes have to scrub it off. Can use a diluted bleach mixture to clean them then rinse very well. Wow 10 day blackout!

How diluted? 1 to 100ml ratio?
And I've tried a week blackout int he past and it didn't seem to do it but for some reason this time 10 did, I was surprised all the plants made it.
Thanks

More like 20:1 dilution...
