Opinion/ Advice canister filter

Hello, I'm setting up a new 100gal tank for cichlids.  I'd like some advice on makes for a new canister filter, I'm running a Fluval FX5 on my other tank and I've been pretty satisfied so far, but I've heard many different opinions on their reliability.  Any suggestions on  what I should get as I'm looking for good performance and reliability.
