I've had these to ocellaris clowns for about 5 mts.  They are a mated pair with the male always performing the submission shudder dance.  Now twice in the past week, I"ve had to fish the larger female out of my sump.  Last night I watched when I put her back in and the male immediately attacked her and chased her all over the tank.  She's in a floating net right now to keep her segrated from the male.

What's going on here?  He seemed to be clearing a place for eggs earlier this month and was trying to entice the female.

Is there damage being done or just chasing?
I have three orange and three black false percs in one tank.
When they first went in they chased for a day or two then settled in.
Has anything changed in the tank to cause the disturbance?
Some say if both fish are removed, the tank reorganised a bit then the fish reintroduced to the tank at the same time,
they may settle down.

Dirty perc! Sometimes the water is clearer on the other side of the tank!  :-)
