Were my zoas and mushrooms hung over?

When I first put in a small zoa rock, after about 24hrs I saw some of them open their mouths wide and little brown balls pop out and float away.

I just noticed a mushroom doing something similar.

The mouths close back up right afterwards.  Sorry, but I just can't find any info on the net about that kind of behaviour, unless I'm not using the right keywords to find the info.

I'd better go to the LFS and see if they have any polyp toilette paper.....they've got gadgets for everything else
