first off thanks to trina & pat of ottawa inverts for the tank..dayyum nice with starphire glass i may add... Also big ups to tyler.l for hooking me up with 10lbs of niice lr.

So i officially demo'ed my  2 other tanks. Put all live stock in a rubbermaid with corals, heater and a K Nano... All lr on pails with power heads..

Im so bad@ss i did not rinse any sand, just put it in the solana, serious carbon, floss, skimming.... It settled in a few hours..

Added all lr, dust everywhere again..so i powerheaded all pieces to 'clean' em off..

Few more hours it settled. Re arranged all rock how i liked it.

Took all my hermits n snails did NOT accl. One of them, just dumped them in... All lived.

Took my frogfish, wrasse, and yashahaze & pistol .. Did NOT accl. Them, dumped them all in... All lived.

Put all corals n frags in.

Set up all the wires and lighting.....boombap done sunday@ midnight.

All in all between runnin around, shopping, salty sunday, super bowl, makeing a HUUGE batch of seabellys, eating, this only took me sat & sunday.

Ill get some pics up later today.

And ya, thats right i got my frogfish in with the other fish...boombapp....we'll see how that works :-/

Let me know when the humaine society comes after you for your cruel treatment of your live stock, and the meals your goby and wrasse will become. :)

Sounds like a lot of work for a weekend, considering how busy it was. Good job on the move, I'm glad everything lived. Looking forward to pictures of this new tank, especially any new corals you might have picked up over the weekend. ;)

Tanks: salty nano cube, working on a fresh 125

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat you right.  Forget about the one's who don't.  Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.  If it changes your life, let it.  Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

^Take, lol..nothings for free in life :D shawn, wether it be fish, corals, recording studio... But naw im not having a single micro bubble. And it took less than 48hrs for the skimmer to skim.

Nice work Vince. Hope the tank transition goes smooth for you.

recording studio haha. god im having so much trouble with microbubbles from my return pump, was thinkin of replacing the return pump with something else.... and i was GOING to buy a saphire skimmer but i guess that went down the drain

Vincenzo.

yup i got zero bubbles. How old is ur tank?

Vincenzo.

sooooooop guess what...all fish where accounted for this morning....but right when i got home from work, my frogfish fell victim to my huuge emerald crab. I know it was not a accl. Problem, but simply the emerald was so big it had the whole frogfish in one claw, swinging it around. My guess was it was luring and the crab was hiding amungst the rock. I think this is a case of karma, since i thought the frog would murder the 6line and yashahaze. And i know the emerald must have just caught him, since he just pierced his skin in one area, no hermits around, nothing. I thought he was still aline honestly when i was watching the carnage.. Then the wife said poor guy get him out... I examined, swore he 'shrivered' and he was done. He got a proper burial, down the bowl. Im sorta P.O'ed since he was such a dope fish, and changed colors and ate live and frozen food... Ima smash that emerald asap, b4 he vatches more fish....the frog was 3'' and 2''tall and round..and the emerald was swinging his around in 1 claw like a barbarian..ima skewer this 8$ crab.

Next i check out all my corals, all zoas, lps, softies all fine.....sps on the other hand, omg damaged. I only had actinics running for the 2 days, plus the close quarters in the rubbermaid.. Dayyum they look bad, but all have lots of flesh left..only time will tell.

Boombap :(

Hookup

that sucks Vince man...

You got photos of your tank anyhow or is it "too soon"?

RossW

When my tank went south after a move just before Christmas it was days 2 - 3 when the SPS really went south. I would reccomend keeping a very close eye on it.

Sharbuckle

youre emerald can fall to my mantis if you want, not sure if my mantis could take it on though, hes just a tiny little guy, and my tank has been set up for a little over 4 months, i had the micro bubble problem from the start, though it would go away, thinking about hooking up a maxi jet or something??
