hi, I'm wondering if I could put them in the same tank? will the yellow labs chase those kribs? thanks.

well they do not live in the same water chemisrty, bio-tope, ecossytem, etc etc

by temparement, I say the labs are little to agressive for the kribs..thats my opinion

I can assure you that you are wrong  :D
Let's say that kribs even they came from less hard water feel themselves fine in the rift lake water high pH and hardness. I had them in my tank with rift lake cichlids where pH was about 8 and GH 10-12, KH > 22. They were fine there, but do not expect fry as with such a hardness eggs will not be fertilized.
Now, these guys could beat any rift lake cichlid when they want it. Even they are several times smaller - they are way more smarter when it deals with fight. Rift lake (in my case Malawi) cichlids fight only for themselves. These guys fight in pair and attacks from different angles, and even my 6" crabro male, that terrorize others were afraid of them and left them the corner :)
The qustion here is not "will they live together with labs" (they will, and they will rule), but is it good for both of them to live together. I should say that kribs prefer planted tanks with low hardness and pH, so better to mix them with SA cichlids (if you are desperate, as they will beat anyone that is near their nest/fry).  Add some other small malawi cichlids to your labs and have fun.

weird.i got this from many sources and had an lfs where i saw this happen first hand.he dropped in 4 kribs in a yellow/blue hap tank and a couple hour later they were fin deficient.thee were adults that were breeding in that tank so perhap that played  part. as for the jewels the same happened with ome mnubas. oh well.you seem to have lot of experience with kribs so ill shut up now

I also had kribs with yellow labs, saulosis, elongatus, I can tell you I never had problems with any of them, but I have to say that they were in a 150 gallons tank with lots of hiding places, and swimming space, and as for the water quality, I had a ph of 7,5, hardness of 10, and the kribs were showing all their colors. And it is true that a mature krib can very well defend himself.
