Hey,

Can anyone explain to me the breeding activities of rainbowfish?  I have noticed my neon dwarf rainbow has been courting is female for months now, but I didn't think much of it because I never ever seen them actually laying the eggs.  I'm guessing they go down to the bottom and squeeze them out there.  Anyone have any experience with collecting eggs to hatch?  Any info appreciated.  :)

I wouldn't mind trying to raise some if possible. Plus, I'm thinking of getting some of those Threadfin Rainbows.
And my one male Celebes Rainbow loves to follow the neon female from closely underneath her. lol  It kinda makes me curious about the Threadfins. ::)

Thanks,
Stephanie

Generally they will lay their eggs in  dense plant thickets. The easiest way to raise them yourself is to create breeding mops. Do a quick search on here or online and you should find more info.
