Summer... and heaters.

heaters have thermostats, yes.

the only reason i use  a heater in the winter is that I keep my house heat at around 10c all winter. a little too cool for the turtles.

but in the summer, the temps are high enough that the heater only comes on maby 2-3 times a week. but the turtles can deal with these temp changes just as they would in the wild. they just bask more on the cooler days.

so i take the heater out to prolong the life of it by it not being used and reduced the breakage risk.
