Type of lighting affecting fish

anyone ever hear of lighting change, changing the attitude of the fish? I reciently installed a blue light and now my sharks are alot more active, was it the color they like? any ideas?

Hello there!!!!!!
 Yes, different lights will make the difference in your fish behavior.
 I once had factory white lights in my tank canopy and my fish
 bahavior was very mellow and quiet..soon after I put flurecent
 blue light the fish came to life... plus the tank looks much more
 healthy. also the water looks more cristal clear... :wink:

The blue light is mimicking night-time, which some fish prefer, as they are more nocturnal.

Where did you purchase your blue lights?  Are they expensive?

Blue flurecent light are quite common now adays. if you have a
 single light canopy 18" about $ 25 each at big als.
 the long light bulb 24" about $35 the blueones are called
 coral life..check them out at big als . :wink:
