We picked up a couple of acros from Fishtail several weeks ago and a few days later, we noticed a tiny little hitchhiker crab. We were just going to remove it, for fear it would be a nasty one but decided to look it up first. Good thing we did because it turns out it is an Acro Crab, which is a tiny, harmless crab that lives in acros. We can't get a picture of ours due to his size (smaller than a child's pinky fingernail) and the placement of the coral but you can see what they look like here: http://www.reefcorner.com/SpecimenSheets/acrocrab.htm. It's only the second time we get a hitchhiker that we wanted to keep. The first was 8 years ago, when we were new to the hobby, an Elephant Slug (http://www.seaslugforum.net/factsheet/scutus) came in on some live rock and she lived for about 6 years, grazing away on algae. It's a good feeling to get something hitchhiking in that you don't need to rip your tank apart to remove, especially since we just re-aquascaped just over a month or so ago. :)

And for those of you who now know me, you know I name almost everything in our reef tank and this little crab is no exception. His name is Bandit. Not too original, I know, but fitting. :D
