And my tank.  Its a 10gal right??   What formula do i use to find out how many gal it holds??

hmmm i got 11.26gal or 43.78L

10 gal it is!!

You got 11 gallons because you measured the outside of the tank.

If you want the "real" value... you have to take the measurements INSIDE the glass.  Depending on the size of the tank (and thus the thickness of the glass), an outside measurement will sometimes yield you another few "extra gallons"   :lol:
