Hello,
I'm looking to start an all male African Cichlid tank.
I have a 75G tank running two Aquaclear 500's (or whatever the model number has since changed to) and one Fluval 404.
Filtration, substrate (sand) and decorations (plenty o' rocks) are set. Now I'm looking for recommendations for future live stock additions.

Currently the tank is stocked with :

1  Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos    http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=756
3  Labidochromis caeruleus             http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1665
1  Cynotilapia afra                        http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1677
1  Pseudotropheus  Acei                 http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1460
1  Aulonocara (Rubescens)              http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1311

I was thinking of getting :

1 Iodotropheus sprengerae              http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=707
1 Metriaclima estherae      (orange)              http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1730
1 Metriaclima estherae     (OB)

My goal with this tank is to have as much variety of color and shape as possible. I am all for trying to mix any non African's that can coexist as well so please suggest ANYTHING that would get along with this mix.

Peacock males are great.  There are so many colors.
I am going about it the slow way by picking up fry and hoping to have males.

Peacock males are indeed fantastic however I would like to try to get some different shapes in my tank as well.

If only you had posted this about a month ago. I brought into Big Al's about six young rusty juvies, and I'm pretty sure that I had a male in there somewhere.

I find Metriaclima species a bit feisty, especially that you have some haps and thinking of a Rusty.
How about these species:
Pseudotropheus Williamsi North "Makonde" - blue lips and orangey body colour (although I've heard that they can also be a bit aggressive)

Cyrtocara Moori - blue dolphin - head shape is different than most

Otopharynx Lithobates - elongated nose and body shape with nice orange blaze
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1191

Aulonocara maylandi - dark colour with nice yellow blaze

Just a few ideas - keep us posted on what you get!
