Make your predictions, who will score and who will flounder? See any sweeps, what series will go 7? AND the big one will Crosby be back for post season play, should he? What about head shots, who will be suspended first? Will San Jose fall out early yet again?  In other words, "IT'S TIME" drop the freakin' puck already and let's talk Post Season play...

Hate to say it but my Habs will see an early exit to the hated Bruins. Canucks better clean up their act or they will be the first 2010-2011 big disappointment. My sleeper pick to watch is Nashville watch out they are dangerous and bring a lunch bucket style of play they can grind it out with the best of them but they need to deal with the pesky Coyotes first this one can go 7 but likely 6. Capitals need to get off fast because Rangers can grind any team down the Caps will be another casualty early if they screw around. If Calahan comes back they have a chance to go deep too. I think the Flyers are going to go down early with the Habs (will the broom shows up here first?) they have goal tending issues and the coldest of all post season teams in my eyes. The series to watch is the Penguins and Tampa bay. Penguins not able to score a lot but they do not give up many either - Tampa Bay gives up a lot of goals. Without Crosby they can win and this one might go 7 but after that without him they won't advance. Sharks will play well this year and should get by Ducks Perry can't do it all and Ryan has gone missing of late. And Red Wings will have a tough job they are beat up and goal tending a serious issue if the Kings can score without Kopitar and Quick plays like he did in March they will get by the Wings.

OK there I laid out my predictions what are yours? Disagree with these? At least I put mine in writing will you? ;)

All I know is I'm looking forward to seeing the Bruins absolutely destroy the Habs (sorry Dan). I see the East coming down to Washington and Boston, the west is far harder to predict but I'd love to see Vancouver pull it off.

I can safely say I will be sitting in the sun on my boat while you all watch a sport that should have ended when the snow left lol

I pick top 4 west teams moving on in the first round, top 3 in the east with 5th seed TB over 4th place Penguins.

agree with tophoo 'Washington and Vancouver for the final'......

Although I would love to see a canadian team win for the first time since 1993, my prediction is Anaheim vs Boston.
And I agree with Brent - I probably won't spend much time watching any of it - especially that the Sens (and the cold weather) are gone...

Ana - who? Leafs or sens have a better chance of winning. Ducks have no goal tending right now. It is a shame they have a ton of talent on that team but without a healthy Hiller they are toast. san Jose shoudl win their first round for once... LOL

I hope the Habs can at least get hot enough to take out the Bruins. Only other professional team I hate more is the Raiders - well no love for the Cowboys either!  >:(

Canadians think Hockey is more important than politics... the debate was moved from Wed. to tonight because of play-offs starting Wed with Habs/Bruins. At least we have our priorities straight. Put skates on those boneheads let them drop the gloves and play a game to see who will get in power and then each 4 years do it again... head shots legal for them though actually encouraged... LMAO

How the hell are the Penguins doing it? No Malkin or Crosby plus there other injures and beat up guys. They won 3-0 over a team with some real scoring punch. Not to sure Crosby should come back but if he does Penguins could become a serious contender...

They are doing with Fleury standing on his head again. Tables will change in that series once stamkos and st-Louis get back together.

Bruins vs Canucks for cup. Canucks in 6!

SWFitzy

as I would like to see hongcouver win, its going to be Tampy Bay! They didnt do so well in game 1, but thats the strategy.

dan2x38

That's ONE - Habs over Bruins tonight for the shut out... :) My Habs had a rough time of it for injures... if all they do at this point is beat out the Bruins I will be happy!!!

How about Sabres I called it they will likely take out Phillie on goal tending alone.

Sleeper to watch for Nashville hard working lunch bucket team get it done by committee... Fischer got 2 in opener.

Ditto double-plus on that!

dan2x38

So the Caps advance and Wings but all the rest undecided? Do the Canucks get it done tonight or do Hawks force a 7th and deciding game and if so do the Canucks bow out red faced? Can the Flyers move on without a goalie? Can my Habs pull off the miracle now down 3-2? Will the Preds be the sleeper team and send the Ducks to the bottom of the Pond advancing for their 1st time to the 2nd round? Then there are wounded Kings who stayed alive turning away an amazing 51 shots on goal can they go the distance to advance and once more we watch the Sharks flounder in the post season. Talking wounded will the Penguins turn it around after an embarrassment in their last outing? If they do will The Kid come back? Should he? OH and was that hit by Torres on Campbell a head shoot and should he have been suspended once again?

Do you still think it will be the Bruins & Canucks in the final? We all might just be surprised in the end!

The Canucks have everything against them and the Hawks have no pressure. Either Luongo earns his $10 million salary tonight or the Canuckle-heads are done.

It's game 7 so it is put up or shut up tonight! My Habs are fighting to stay in it up at end of the 1st - crossing my fingers!!! I said Preds would be the surprise sleeper team to watch for they advance taking out the Ducks. Have the Caps & Wings fallen asleep with so much time off?

OK so it is not sunny and not really boat weather anyone watch the game tonight? My team is out but I am a true blue Canuck and support the greatest and fastest sport hockey until the last whistle. Tonight the Lighting fought their hardest going zero - zero until 7 1/2 minutes left to play but fell short with a final 1-0 for those freakin' nasty-ass Bruins. I so wanted to see the Bruins sent packing to links.  >:(

So now it is down to just 4 wins to hoist the pride of all hockey Lord Stanley's Cup. Will Canada bring the Cup back home? Who will be the hero & who will be the goat? I say this if Vancouver screws around they will fall. But hey Western teams in the regular season had their way with Eastern teams - will this be the case in the Final?

If Lou comes out strong and the Canucks dominate in game one they will win in 6. If they loss game one it will be Bruins in 6. Iy comes down to the first game who sets the pace and controls the play. Cancucks got to build confidence early. Bruins have an amazing ability of creating turn overs then excellent cycle in the offensive zone. If their allowed to do this like against Tampa it will be hard for Vancouver.

So come on Wednesday let's get it started and bring the Cup home - Go-Cancucks-GO!!!

Well my prediction for the final was 50% true. Boston made it, and I'm glad Vancouver made it instead of the Ducks.
Now, Montreal hosted the Olympics in 1976, and won the cup in 77. Calgary hosted in 1988, and won in 89. So, Vancouver hosted last year... and the cup?
Gotta keep this going!!
