Eheim Professional Question

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas. All of a sudden my Eheim professional has started spitting water back out of the air intake hose (the one that draws air in to the filter). I had been working fine for the last 4 weeks or so but all of a sudden last night it started doing this. It does it once per cycle (ie. once through the wet-dry cycle).

Any ideas? I'm gonna clean it all out tonight but I doubt that is the issue.

I had this happen to me once with my 2227.  I tried everything to get it to work properly again, but eventually I just took it to Big Al's in Oakville, and they replaced the canister and pump unit for free.  It has been working fine for the last 8 months or so.  When/where did you buy yours?

Its like 6-7 years old, so I don't think that's an option

I'm cleaning it all out right now to see if that will help...

Are you sure it's just an impeller gone bad or GOING bad possibly?
