Just thought I'd share a few pics of the "big boys" from my 135 gallon tank.
In order:
- Pseudotropheus Acei "Black Tanzania"
- Cyrtocara Moori (Blue Dolphin)
- Aulonorara Stuartgranti (Ngara Flametail)
- Otopharynx Lithobates (Red Top)
- Otopharynx Heterodon (Royal Blue Hap)
- Otopharynx Tetrastigma
- Placidochromis Phenocholis Tanzania (Star Saphire)
- Protomelas Steveni Taiwan
- Aulonoara Stuartgranti "German Red"
- Scienochromis Fryeri (Electric Blue Hap)
They light up my day!

One could think you like blue fish. ;)
Great collection!
be aware of the green side

elk

How did you get them to stand still for the pictures.

Very impressive variety!  I can't wait for mine to fully mature like yours have! Great pics too.

Rob: Yes, I prefer the blue fish from Malawi over the silver fish from Tanganyka! (for now anyways)
I do have a number of Yellow Labs as well, and the green hues of the Oto Tetrastigma break things up nicely too.
Peter: In total I have about 35 fish in the tank. Aside from the species listed, I have two Synos, some regular yellow tail Aceis, a Jewel Spot Pseudo, and a  "Orange" blue-lipped Pseudo Williamsi. They are all about 1-3 yrs old.
Thanks for the compliments guys - looking forward to seeing what cichlids you all have in your tanks! Please share!

I've purchased these fish from a variety of sources over the years:
- from local breeders here in the Ottawa-Gatineau area through the OVAS site
- from the OVAS Giant Auction
- from our OVAS sponsoring fish stores
- from conventions: CAOAC and OCA

Just keep your eyes peeled - there are lots of opportunities. OVAS has been an great source. I am thankful to have found this club. So, spread the news! There may be others out there who don't know about us.

I have had fry from my blue and black aceis, and yellow labs. For most of the others, I only have the male.

Hey I was being nice! I have not dismissed having silver fish at some point! And, I know that it's not just about the colour: "silver fish with great personalities" would be the right description...
Besides Mark, I thought you were now keeping GOLDFISH!  :P
